CRLP is proud to be a part of the California Subject Matter Project (CSMP). Through nearly 90 regional sites statewide, CSMP creates communities of practice that promote high-quality teaching, leadership and educational equity.
CRLP belongs to a network of nine discipline-based professional development projects collectively known as the California Subject Matter Projects (CSMP). The California Subject Matter Project is a network of nine discipline-based statewide projects that support on-going quality professional development. Activities and programs are designed by university faculty, teacher leaders, and teacher practitioners to improve instructional practices and lead to increased achievement for all students.
The California Reading and Literature Project has 11 regional offices with the statewide office at UC San Diego. Collectively, the project has been a consistent advocate for improving access to high-quality literacy instruction for K-12 education.
